Let us face it. As a second year student in the CS Dept at IIT Madras, I do spend a LOT more time on tech/comp things than otherwise. A technical blog will be a reflection of this very fact.
Why not integrate the two? I feel content should be separated, whenever they can. Maybe in the long run, I will realise otherwise.
Coming to the post, I have this habit of drawing XKCD - like cartoons, every once in a while in classes when I get bored. A significant part of my last 10 or so pages of my B slot notes last semester is filled with such cartoons or quips. It was only recently, that I decided to "digitalise" some of them. Late last night, I got another idea for a cartoon, and couldnt find any book nearby. I decided to digitalise it straight away. I forwarded it to a few people, who gave me a fairly good response. So I decided to put it up here.
The previous cartoon here was removed by the author for fear of being misunderstood. He has put up a new one.

The comments section has been refreshed (except Hula's)
And the author feels that this falls under creativity and not tech. :)
So, tell me how it is.

It's nice to see that you were smart to not mix up the tech posts and the highly creative ones.I did that mistake and ended up doing the same thing. Now on my blog quintessence i post only the non tech stuff and the tech stuff will be there somewhere else( or may even die, not sure abt it's fate yet)....
And love your cartoons...
Awesome cartoon, prolly Pranesh teaching ProbStats... hehe...
And awaiting the tech blog.
Wordpress *only* if you are going to host it on some server, free blogs on wordpress are so limited.
And dude, such a long wait for a post.
stud ra!
@hula, naveen, bhaand : thanks :)
the comic is all wrong...you got it totally revesved..there are always a lot more people at the back of the class dozing off...and few people like to sit at the front right infront of the prof..but then again im talking about a normal class not a cs iitm one :P
@goutham : People sleep evenly here. People at the back, if not sleep, end up doing something else, or talking away to glory.
Also, that is a typical iitm classroom. One of my slots this semester, is a perfect realisation of that. People like to sit as far away from the prof as they can. Youll find very few people sitting in the centre of the class, and a lot more people towards the sides.
I dint quite get why you do not think this is typical behaviour.
Mug! you have an Endsem today/tmrw? :P
Dude. That was good. I'd love to see a followup post on other examples of Gaussian distributions in nature, such as the distribution of high quality chilly bajji stalls on Marina beach for starters.
@krish ashok:
I cannot pull off such humour. At least not at the level you can. :)
Therefore, I "creative commons" licesify this post for "fodder" for a later blog post of yours. :D
Dude, is the title taken from the short clip on Cartoon Network before Dexter's Lab started when Dexter came up and used to say "Cartoon Cartoons!" ?
Yup! Cartoon Network! :)
